Hugh Ice Island carves off Greenland glacier
The report said the Ice Island calved off from Greenland’s Petermann Glacier so huge ice in Arctic lost such a big ice. Andreas Muenchow, a professor of physical ocean science and engineering at the University of Delaware did research about broken ice. The length of the crack is 620 miles between Canada and Greenland in South of North pole, which is one quarter of ice-shelf. The new Ice Island is about 100 square miles and the thickness is about half of Empire State building. Also, the fresh water from the river is enough for the US publicans for 4 months. The report is created by a University of Delaware. It is a big event in 50 years.
I think this is a mystery thing that happens on the world. The world is changing because of human so it is affecting the environment and the weather. This might be a natural disaster but we are lucky that no one gets injure from it.
